The store, open for six weeks, has been designed in-house to celebrate the Best of Kent initiative through which Bluewater will highlight produce from the area often called The Garden of England. The 1,700 sq ft store will remain in place until 9 May, hosting tasting sessions as well as selling products.
“Macknade Fine Foods’ Best of Kent pop-up is another example of our focus on providing something different for guests on every visit,” says Bluewater general manager Robert Goodman. “The store adds to the overall Bluewater experience and has been very popular with our guests already.”
Macknade was named Best Local Retail 2015 in the Taste of Kent Awards. The company stocks products from over 120 Kent suppliers. Owner and founder Stefano Cuorno says the Bluewater pop-up “Is a great opportunity for us to bring our brand to such a large number of people from throughout the region. Bluewater’s guests have really embraced the pop-up and sales to date are far in excess of our expectations.”
