20th March 2017
Transformers character Optimus Prime will be making an appearance at Retail Design Expo 2017, thanks to VM specialist Propability.
A motion sensor in the character’s arm causes it to speak when people pass close by, with Transformers sound effects playing on a loop. The eyes are illuminated with blue LEDs.
The display was created by digitally scanning an original Optimus Prime toy, before sculpting in 3D on a six axis CNC robotic arm, with each element being hand-finished. An internal steel structure supports the heavy display.
Propablity’s Optimus Prime will be on stand P3 at Retail Design Expo 2017
