Summer experience programme pulls families to Bluewater

7th August 2017

Kent shopping centre Bluewater is to stage a schedule of family-oriented summer activities, in a bid to create memorable experiences for visitors.

Attractions include the Beach at Bluewater, a new destination that brings seaside attractions to Bluewater’s location in a former quarry. Deckchairs, a giant paddling pool, a splash pool, sandcastle building and seaside treats will all be on offer.  A range of fairground rides will also be on hand, including a carousel, helter skelter and bumper cars.

Guests can also enjoy the Gromit Character Trail, which takes them on a journey to find 12 colourful sculptures of the famous dog character which are positioned around Bluewater’s malls.

An award-winning  Nature Trail takes visitors around  the centre’s lakes and parkland, with three free-to-attend Nature Fun Days taking place over the school holidays.

“The exceptional range of family activities on offer this summer provides additional reasons to visit and enjoy Bluewater,” says centre general manager Robert Goodman. “Our extensive lakes and parkland are a genuine point of difference and, complemented by the Beach at Bluewater, we have a unique day out offer that is unrivalled across the region.”
