SBID International Design Awards announces finalists

Finalists in the SBID International Design Awards have been announced, with a public vote taking part over the course of this month to decide the ultimate winners.

The finalists have already been assessed by a technical panel and a panel of expert judges, including Aston Martin chief creative officer and design director Marek Reichman, The Boeing Company senior creative director Kevin Mau and Sunseeker managing director David Lewis. The final 30 per cent of marks are decided by public vote. Voting closes on 25 August.


The Retail Design category features 16 shortlisted designs from around the world, including Robinsons department store in Dubai by HMKM, and the Jacob Lambaz Makeup Room in Amman by Asma Bkerat Design House.

The Restaurant category features 21 shortlisted entries, including The Burger Laboratory by Lotteria, by JHP Design, and Fucina by Andy Martin Architecture.
