A new takeaway food concept is set to bring food from Michelin-starred chefs to busy customers in London’s Bloomsbury.

KOOX will occupy a 158 sq m (1,700 sq ft) site on Store Street, part of The Bedford Estates, where it will join a growing mix of food and drink brands including Store Street Espresso, Greek restaurant The Life Goddess, and Italian restaurant Olivelli’s. The street is also home to a number of retailers including Treadwell’s Books and Cloud 9 Cycles. KOOX is scheduled to open during spring 2018.

“Store Street and Bloomsbury provide an ideal location for our new café. The close proximity to the hustle and bustle of the West End and the commercial vibrancy of The City makes it an exciting place to be. We’ll attract local residents, and students from the nearby universities, as well as those who work in and visit the street. We want customers to enjoy our new health food concept for take-away or eat-in and expect to trade really well,” says KOOX founder and owner Nabil Duval.

Architectural and design practice Mohammed Design has developed a format for the site, which is spread over two levels and offers some pavement tables for outside dining, to create a unique environment unlike any other takeaway outlet.

Dishes at KOOX will feature freshly-made seasonal dishes, with lots of health-conscious options.

“The particularity of KOOX interior design is that all our furniture was specially designed for us and custom-made by over 20 craftsmen, which means that every item is unique,” says Duval. “This approach is very unusual in the takeaway industry and will offer an exclusive experience to our customers. Our design is in line with our food products developed by three star Michelin chefs.”
