Mango to roll our IoT mirrors to changing rooms worldwide

16th February 2018

Fashion retailer Mango is to roll out new Internet of Things (IoT) digital mirrors, developed with Vodafone and Jogotech, to stores around the world.

The system will allow shoppers to scan item tags in the fitting room, contacting store staff directly through the mirror - via a smart watch worn by staff - to request items in different colours or sizes. The mirror will also suggest additional items to complement the original choice.

Mango plans to introduce the technology to its top-performing stores to help blend physical and online worlds for its customers, in the first phase of a drive to create new ways to interact with them.

“This is a really exciting project for Mango.  We see the future of retailing as a blend of the online and the offline.  These new fitting rooms are another step in the digital transformation of our stores to create a whole new experience for our customers,” says Mango chief client officer Guillermo Corominas.

“This project helps put more power at the shopper’s fingertips and will bring Mango closer to its fashion conscious shoppers and offer them more options and experiences than a conventional fitting room,” says Vodafone director of IoT Stefano Gastaut.
